The Secret
"The Secret" takes place in ancient Egypt about four thousand years ago. The play starts with a short introduction with Applesauce, Geewizzer and an Egyptian mummy.

The story opens in an ancient Egyptian temple. The High Priest and the Low Priest are scheming about who is to be the new Pharoah of Egypt because the Pharoah has just died and there is no heir to the throne.

The evil High Priest (left) plots to be Pharoah but he knows it will take wealth and jewels. The Low Priest then spots an old box and asks what's in it. The Evil High Priest tells him not to open the box because the Pharoah said it should be entombed with him after he died and never opened. Who knows. It may have a curse on it.

The High Priest orders the Low Priest to go to the village and get someone who is not too bright to come to the great pyramid and open the box because, if anything happens to him, no one would care.

Princess Tarara had come to Egypt to marry the Pharoah. Since the Pharoah's death, the princess was held captive by the High Priest. When he became Pharoah, he planned to force her to marry him. If she did not agree, she would be forever entombed in the pyramid.

The Low Priest finds a boy in the village who he thinks isn't too smart. He offers him a camel if he enters the pyramid and opens the box. The boy, Rames, agrees to his offer.

When Rames is just about to enter the pyramid, the Sphinx calls to him and tells him he can enter only if he solves a riddle. Rames answers the riddle correctly and is permitted to enter the Great Pyramid.

When Rames enters the pyramid, he discovers the Princess. She asks him for help and warns him not to open the box. The High Priest arrives and orders Rames to open the box. If he does not, he will be forever be entombed in the pyramid.

Rames reluctantly opens the box and, to his surprise, finds something truly astonishing. If you want to know what was in the box, you will just have to see "The Secret" for yourself.

The Camel carries Rames to the Great Pyramid to open the box. This puppet is made of wood, fabric and a fiberglass casted head. It weighs 10 pounds.

Below is Boomteeya, Princess Tarara's personal slave.
